It’s hard to believe, but it’s that time of year again – my 10th Game Developers Conference (GDC)! For someone who has been part of this incredible community for a decade, it feels like both a milestone and an exciting new chapter. This year, there’s something even more special: I’ll also be attending Pocket Gamer Connects (PG Connects), which just so happens to be taking place at the same time, in my second home, California. If you know me, you know that both events hold a special place in my heart, and I’m thrilled to be diving into the action once again.
GDC: A Journey Through the Heart of Game Development
GDC has always been a highlight of my year. It’s not just another conference – it’s a celebration of everything that makes the gaming industry so unique. This event is where the world’s brightest minds in game development come together to share their innovations, struggles, and successes. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best in the industry, and it’s never failed to inspire me.
From the technical talks to the hands-on experiences, GDC is where I’ve had some of my most impactful conversations about the future of gaming. It’s also where I’ve seen firsthand how creativity and technology intersect in the most amazing ways. It’s a place where boundaries are pushed, and the future is being built.
PG Connects: Where Mobile Gaming Meets Innovation and AI
In the same vein, PG Connects has always felt like the perfect complement to GDC. Pocket Gamer Connects is where mobile game developers, publishers, and investors meet to discuss the future of mobile gaming. It’s a fast-paced environment where trends are made, deals are struck, and game-changing technologies are discussed.
This year, PG Connects is placing a special focus on AI, making it even more relevant to the industry’s current landscape. The event will dive deep into how AI is transforming mobile gaming – from game development to user acquisition and creative optimization. As always, PG Connects aims to address the biggest trends, pain points, and opportunities in the market, and this year’s AI focus will give us valuable insights into how we can all leverage AI to stay ahead in this ever-evolving industry.
Both GDC and PG Connects are taking place at the same time this year. It’s an exciting opportunity to dive deeper into the ways AI and creative strategy are shaping the gaming world.
